Convention of International Chapter
in St. Louis, Missouri, USA,
September 29 - October 1
Missouri is the “Show Me” State, for sure! Our Missouri sisters proved that! They showed 3,600 sisters, BILs and friends what being a hostess state is all about. It’s about friendly faces, great tours, an easy-going hospitality and caring “customer” service. It’s about great music (think the Gateway City Big Band, the Air Force Woodwind Quintet, as well as the talented P.E.O.s who provided such gorgeous vocal presentations and wonderful pianists and flutists). It’s about young people serving as our color guard, proudly carrying the flags of Canada, the United States and the State of Missouri. It’s even about a willing, patient, huge Clydesdale horse posing for photos outside the Center!
And to top it all off, they ended convention with a program by Bill Lennon and his group, straight from Branson, Missouri, providing a great evening of entertainment that resonated with all ages in the audience!
Kudos to Judy Verdine, the planning committee and the many, many volunteers who showed all of us a wonderful time in St. Louis. THANK YOU!
Anne Pettygrove

The Spotlight Collection:
Click here to see short (2-3 minutes each ) presentations
spotlighting each of the International philanthropies and
Cottey College. Perfect for Chapter Programs!
These were shown during the business meetings, and
were produced by Jack Tow in collaboration with the
project and Cottey trustees and personnel.
The opening night of convention features what has historically been termed “Projects Night”. This is the segment of the evening that highlights recipients of P.E.O.’s five educational assistance philanthropies (often referred to as our “projects”) as well as a student selected from the Cottey student body.
On this page, you can meet each speaker “One on One” in an informal interview. Then, enjoy her actual presentation to the audience on projects night. You’ll be impressed by them and proud of them!
It’s always interesting to follow our recipients as they complete their education and move into their careers. Watch “The Climb” to see where education has taken some of our past recipients.
